Feria!! Part II

Again, the feria continues to be awesome*. I am posting the best flamenco photo I have ever seen of myself.

(Notes - I am dancing with Luis, the gym teacher at my school, that little half smile is super flamenco. nearly all of the Spanish women I know do it when they dance flamenco. I was pumped to see that I had absorbed it! Also, my hands are a little bit belly dance, but that's okay. )

My Spanish friends have complimented me loads at the feria. They have told me I don't seem American, I seem European, and that I dance more flamenco than they do (not true). Today, they said "She's not from Kansas City in America! She's from Avenida de Kansas City in Sevilla!" I was like "Yeah!" and I kept dancing. And they kept staring which was weird.

*except the gallons? litres? cubic feet? of smoke I am inhaling. (what is the measurement for a large quantity of... air?) Gross. I think my allergies will be so much better when I am not around that anymore.

If this post seems like an ode to myself, I apologize. It's just that I haven't talked to my mom for awhile and I usually laud myself when I talk to her... love you mom! (is that an appropriate use of "laud"?)

To Madrid, to Madrid! (after Feria, día five) Tomorrow. Now to wash that smoke right out of my hair...
