I miss you a little. I miss feeling competent and I really, really miss finding milk in the refrigerated section. I'm feeling a little lost in Spain right now. I especially miss the people that reside in you.
Dear Spain,
I think I like you a lot. You are just so new and everything seems harder here. Plus I'm tired and my throat hurts a little from trying to control your noisy children. I also would like to watch a movie in English and cannot because that seems to be impossible to find here. Don't worry. It's not that I don't want to get to know you better, I'm simply warn out from the week. I'll look for a beach and that will make it all better for awhile.
Dear Brazil,
I'm so pumped you got the 2016 Olympics! I totally called it today at school. I wanted you to get it too, despite having lived in two of the other candidate countries.
Dear Greece,
You are my country crush. Kind of like Oregon is my state crush.

oregon?
It's true. I have a state crush on Oregon. I'll explain it to you sometime. Like when we see each other. :)
We have plenty of milk in plastic jugs in our refrigerator, watch movies in English, and you are missed. Hope the beach was fun! Love You!
Ellen, I love your blog. I always look forward to signing on and seeing if you have updated...Thanks dear! Lets skype soon!
Ellen! I totally forgot you had mentioned something about a blog, but I promise I will start reading it now!
Promise.
And America misses you too. But really, why watch "The Sound of Music" when you can watch "Sonrisas y Lagrimas"?
Dear Spain,
I have never met you before. I am a little nervous to meet you on my own and think it might be easier if someone else introduced us, but due to flight schedules we will be spending 6 hours alone together before the third party arrives. I do not know how we will get on, but I'm pretty certain that we will have a grand time once Ellen joins us.
I have heard much about you - some good, some not so good. I hope to find the good. I do not know where our relationship will lead, but it could turn into something more than one long-weekend away from Derby.
I would bring you a gift if there was room in my rucksack. I would apologise, but it is actually EasyJet's fault for making such restrictions.
See you soon,
Amanda
PS Right now you are the home to one of my dearest friends. This gives me reason to think you are not so bad despite your pickpocketers, flashing men, and peculiar seafood.
Oregon? I thought it was New Mexico. But the change is understandable; Oregon has so many great qualities - it only rains most of the year, Sasquatch, lumberjacks, doctor-assisted suicide, etc.
