Blogger brings you yet another way to stay connected! Videos! ¡Me lo aprovecho!
The school always plays music when the kids come in the morning. I donated some Ingrid Michaelson to the cause and loved every second of it. American music!
Below is a video I made in Barcelona. Amanda and I went to a flamenco show. The most important thing to note is that all of what you see is being made up spontaneously. That is, the guitar, vocals, and dance are all improvised and it was beautiful to see the artists interact with each other, react to the dynamics and feelings portrayed by one another. Oh I loved it.
One final note: I have picked up a new mannerism. It is very Andaluz. Raise your pointer finger as if you were saying "one". Now, from the elbow, rotate your hand back and forth, left and right as if you were opening a door, while shaking your head no. Then say "No." one time with a Spanish accent.

Ellen! I cannot even believe that you like Ingrid Michaelson!! I love her! haha. She is the reason I went to Cleveland this weekend. Unfortunately, her show was SOLD OUT once I got there. But luckily, she will be coming through Pittsburgh this week! So that's exciting! But anyway!! I enjoyed the videos! Keep them coming! :)
Pleeeeeeease tell me that your a force to be reckoned with on the ping pong table now. Because for your school to have multiple tables just means spanish kids are clearly meant to be table tennis prodigies.
Well, "table tennis" was included in the list of weekend activity verbs:
"I ride a mountain bike"
"I play computer games"
"I play table tennis"
However, I have yet to see the ping pong tables be empty, though I'm sure students would LOVE to have ping pong as a class activity... maybe for Thanksgiving!
Ellen!
The flamenco reminded me of you and Sam dancing at the multi-cultural fair! Oh what fun we had at NW.
It has been so fun catching up on your blog. I miss you!
