The past few days, I have been really clinging to everything familiar and safe. It's hard to explain. It's like I want to soak up everything I can, but I also want to go.
- It's surprising how reliving it is to know that I am confined to two 50lb bags. I'm enjoying packing. It's like proofreading an essay that is too long.
- Sometimes I think watching TV can numb the "real-ness" of life. When I get caught up in someone else's script, I forget that I am living my own.
- I have several friends all going abroad this semester. One of them wrote this and I took it and adapted it: "When I tell people I am studying Spanish, it is no more than an easy answer. Truly I have left the country to embark upon a life changing adventure."
