learning...

I just finished planning my classes until I graduate.
It was both exciting and scary. What a weird thing. I wrote out the semesters and bam! There were only 3 left.
When did I get old enough to be a junior in college?

One thing I'm learning big time here in Spain is "Wherever you are, be all there."
I think this may be a combination of 2 quotes, but I think it summarizes it best. There is no way I can do everything that I want to do. There is neither time nor money. I can't travel to Morocco, Germany, Italy, Ireland, England, Switzerland, France, Sweden, Russia, and all the cities in Spain I want to go to in one semester. Not possible. So, rather than always wish I was there, I am learning to be content where I am. If I'm in Sevilla for the weekend, I will be in Sevilla for the weekend. If I'm in history class, I will be in history class because it's pretty unlikely that I will ever be able to take a history class like this again. The History of Spain in Spain, in Spanish?
I'm going to try this new principle in college I hope. I can't fit in every single class I want to take. So I'll do what I can and enjoy the ones I get.
Because contentment is wanting what you have, not having what you want.
Right?

Whoa,
You wrote "when did I get old enough to be a junior in college?"

I agree Ellen weren't we just crying about Kindergarden. You all the way there and me all the way home....

I love "Wherever you are, be all there." I'm so glad your getting this opportunity.

PS the pie in your pictures looks wonderful! Was that tool what you used for a rolling pin?

I understand that, I am always counting the seconds until the next big thing. There is a qoute from into the woods that says, "If life were just big moments, how would you ever know you had one." your post jsut reminded me of that.

I just planned out the rest of my classes and had a similar reaction. It is sad to realize how quickly college is going by, and yet we must not think on graduating whilst we are yet abroad trying to be all there. I was encouraged by your thoughts.
