Sabbath

I love Spanish Saturdays. Maria goes to bed later than Sam and I on Friday nights. (We're so cool.) Saturday mornings, she tends to sleep in until 10-11am. I usually wake up around 8:30-9. I eat a granola bar (thanks Mom) and then get to sit around and read or journal or do whatever I want as long as it's quiet. So relaxing. Just the way a Saturday morning should be.
Today, Sam and I went to the centro after breakfast. We went shopping at H&M. Then I went to the gym and biked and now I am tired again. Feels good.

Last night, Sam and I made the pilgrimage to Sevilla Este (East Seville). It's about 8km away (according to Maria). It took about an hour and a half to get there.
Why did we make said pilgrimage?

Enchiladas my friend.
We went to Iguanas Ranas, the best Mexican food in Seville - or so I've heard. We ate our dinner the way Mexican food should be eaten. Very quickly. In 15 minutes.
This was preceded by Sam's first pedicure (pedicura) given by a friendly Spanish woman who taught us the word for cheese grater. If you've ever had a pedicure, you know why.

All these festivities were celebrated because of Samantha and Tyler's 1 year anniversary. Tyler and I successfully kept the cat in the bag (Sorry Sam that there were no real cats). Sam was very surprised. I could tell she was happy because she kept telling me "Ellen I hate you."
lots of roommate love.
