Feelin' groovy

I was going to title this "feeling grateful"; but I like "groovy" better. [totally unrelated: I am such a grammar warrior.]
Today I was thinking. I really had a nice afternoon and I decided that since I have done my fair share of complaining lately, I wanted to make a list of things I was thankful for. So here it goes:

1. Valentine's Day box from Mom and Dad.
2. I am employed. In Spain. The number of Spaniards that can say that shrinks daily, probably even hourly.
3. Chocolate. I may have binged on some of the goodness from #1. Fortunately I stopped at the point on the bell curve where it made me feel happy and not guilty.
4. Pink and red hearts and sparkles - also a part of previously mentioned #1. (That might be redundant)
5. Family. With this, I'd like to point out that these are not rank-ordered in terms of preference.
6. Skype and Gmail chat
8. It's really not that cold here. People say it is, but they don't know what they're talking about.
9. Yoga class with Roberto who speaks English.
10. The gym in general. I love it.
11. I have absolutely no anxiety about my future. That is a real blessing.
12. Email
13. Herbal and green tea = love.
14. Sparkly hearts. (I know, again.)
15. My two seven year-old private students who always hug and kiss my cheek.
17. Ivan, Alba, Arturo, Kika, and Paola. Some of the most adorable 3-4 year olds ever.
18. My space heater
19. Comfy clothes [read: polar fleece]
20. The internets
21. My friend Oliva and my other friend Marilo.
22. Faby and her family
23. Duh. My friends!
25. Coloring
26. Music. Particularly Ingrid Michaelson, Shakira, and Julieta Venegas. Oh and Sufjan. Can't forget Sufjan.
27. Megavideo.com because then I can watch the Bachelor (don't judge me) and Psych. Oh such joy.
28. Ice cream and quinoa (not together)
30. Bed.

My gut response to #11 is "you suck," though I ought to be happy for you...
I kind of envy #2 as well, though I don't know if I'd like being employed in Spain
#18 is a must...though I can think of a pretty good alternative...same for #19
#20 makes me think you've been talking to Carl
#26 You listen to Sufjan!!!
#28 Can we make quinoa in the states? Is it like semolina?

Psych=yes please...

Glad to know you are enjoying the wonderfulness of Spain and soaking it up...there are at least three feet of snow here...just think about that anytime they say it's cold there... :)
